Day Training vs Dog Day Care

Tail Waggin' Day Camp
A unique and comprehensive education program for your dog.  Day Camp is similar to board & train programs without having to send your dog away. Better than daycare in the sense that your dog will not pick up bad habits or lean towards aggressive play behavior.

How does it work?
Each puppy/dog are worked in an environment full of distractions of other dogs and humans giving them a stimulating environment while owners shop, run errand or work.

Our counselors will work with your pup one on one every hour for up to twenty minutes, teaching them home manners, exercising their minds as well as their bodies and teaching them tricks and games to play.

The benefits
  • The dogs learn how to socialize with other dogs without risk of harm.
  • Dogs use up a great deal of energy physically and mentally during their time at camp, which makes a well-rested pet in the evening.
  • Dog camp helps alleviate behavior problems.
  • Camp dogs learn manners that can be used in and out of the home. To include how to behave around other dogs.
  • They are properly crate trained. Benefits of crate training
  • Trainers agree the vast majority of behavior problems (for example excessive barking, chewing and digging) – particularly in puppies – result from lack of exercise.
  • Owners have peace of mind knowing their dog will be well cared for and well-exercised throughout the day; it allows for
    guilt free dog ownership.”1

Who are good candidates for Day Camp?

According to the American Kennel Boarding Assn.,doggie day care is “a supervised environment in which dogs play off-leash with other dogs…Like child daycare centers, a dog daycare center caters to busy dog parents who want to provide their dogs with exercise and playtime. The daycare provides the dog with a fun, safe, stimulating environment during the day while owners shop,
run errands or work. The daycare business is responsible for ensuring the safety of the dogs in their care and making sure all the
dogs play nicely together. Also like child care centers, dog daycare facilities usually include a caring, compassionate staff, plenty of safe, fun playground equipment, and often snack and naptimes for the dogs in their care.
